Since then, Jerusalem has witnessed countless historical and religious events that have marked its identity and heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Israel Gaza Jerusalem \u05e2\u05d6\u05d4 Jerusalem is considered a holy city by Judaism, Christianity and Islam, which share some sacred places within it. For Jews, Jerusalem is the place where the First and Second Temples were built, which housed the Ark of the Covenant, the most sacred object in Judaism. The Western Wall, located in the Jewish quarter of the Old City, is the only remaining vestige of the Second Temple, destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Jews come to the Wall to pray and insert their written prayers into the spaces between the stones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Israel Gaza Jerusalem \u05e2\u05d6\u05d4. For Christians, Jerusalem is the scene of the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. For Muslims, Jerusalem is the third holiest place after Mecca and Medina. The international community does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over the entire city and considers that its status should be resolved through negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Despite the tensions and challenges, Jerusalem remains a unique and fascinating city that deserves to be visited and known. Los jud\u00edos acuden al Muro a rezar y a introducir sus plegarias escritas en los huecos entre las piedras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Para los cristianos, Jerusal\u00e9n es el escenario de la pasi\u00f3n, muerte y resurrecci\u00f3n de Jesucristo. La iglesia del Santo Sepulcro, ubicada en el barrio cristiano de la Ciudad Vieja. Rs el lugar donde se cree que se produjo la crucifixi\u00f3n, sepultura y resurrecci\u00f3n de Jes\u00fas. La iglesia alberga varias capillas dedicadas a diferentes momentos de la pasi\u00f3n. Como el Calvario, la Piedra de la Unci\u00f3n o el Sepulcro Vac\u00edo. Otra ruta importante para los cristianos es la V\u00eda Dolorosa. Para los musulmanes, Jerusal\u00e9n es el tercer lugar m\u00e1s sagrado despu\u00e9s de La Meca y Medina. Seg\u00fan la tradici\u00f3n isl\u00e1mica, el profeta Mahoma ascendi\u00f3 al cielo desde la Explanada de las Mezquitas o Monte del Templo. Un impresionante edificio con una c\u00fapula dorada que domina el paisaje de Jerusal\u00e9n. Junto a ella se halla la Mezquita de Al-Aqsa. La primera qibla o direcci\u00f3n de oraci\u00f3n del islam antes de cambiarla por La Meca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La convivencia entre las tres religiones no ha sido f\u00e1cil a lo largo de los siglos. Ha generado numerosos conflictos pol\u00edticos y territoriales. Israel declar\u00f3 su independencia en 1948 y reclam\u00f3 a Jerusal\u00e9n como su capital &#8220;eterna e indivisible&#8221;. Sin embargo, el Estado de Palestina reivindica su parte oriental, que incluye la Ciudad Vieja, como su propia capital.
