I have always loved pop music. Ever since I was a little kid, I would sing along to the catchy tunes and dance to the upbeat rhythms. Pop music made me happy and energized. It also gave me some of the most memorable moments of my life.
One of these moments was when I met my idol, Taylor Swift. It was at a concert in New York, and I had managed to get a VIP ticket that included a backstage pass. I was so excited and nervous to see her in person. I had been a fan of hers for years, and I knew all her songs by heart. When I finally got to meet her, she was so sweet and friendly. She hugged me, signed my poster, and even took a selfie with me. She told me that she appreciated my support and that I was beautiful. I almost fainted from happiness.
Another moment was when I won a karaoke contest at a local bar. The theme was pop songs from the 90s, and I chose to sing “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls. It was one of my favorite songs growing up, and I knew all the lyrics and moves. I put on a wig, a dress, and some platform shoes, and I rocked the stage.
The crowd loved it, and they cheered and clapped along. I felt like a star. When the judges announced that I was the winner, I couldn’t believe it. They gave me a trophy, a gift card, and a free drink. It was the best night ever.

The last moment was when I wrote my own pop song. It was during the lockdown, and I was feeling bored and lonely. I decided to channel my emotions into music, and I grabbed my guitar and notebook. I started to strum some chords and hum some melodies. Then I wrote down some lyrics that expressed how I felt. It took me a few hours, but I finally finished my song. Was called “Pop Me Up”, and it was about how pop music helped me cope with the pandemic. It was catchy, upbeat, and optimistic. I recorded it on my phone and uploaded it to YouTube. To my surprise, it got a lot of views and comments. People liked it and said it made them feel better too.
